Fancy Dress Theme for Sunday 25th Nov

Hiya all,

Regarding the fancy dress theme after sundays game! I think im right in saying that sunday is our last game before crimbo, so whether you are playing or injured and watching or too young to play and watching, then fancy dress is a must for after the match!

While im on the subject just wanted to say good effort to you all after the Beckenham game with the Hallowean themed fancy dress, thought it was an awesome evening with fab costumes, so well done!

Anyway back to Sunday, cos i know you are all dying to know what it is, although if you went training tonight then Caz should have told you!

The theme is EMERGENCY SERVICES......

So, quite a wide choice there, so no excuses not to have a little evidence of the dress code required!

Also wanted to mention 15th Dec club xmas dinner at Laragosta think we should make an effort to get a ladies table together, the more the better....

then we have our ladies do the wk after, exciting stuff!!

Anyway i think ive said everything now!!

Hope to see you all soon!!

Senior Regional Trials

Subject: Senior Regional Trials
Date: Mon, 19 Nov 2007 10:04:30 +0000
From: AmandaBate@RFU.com

Hi everyone,

The regional programme is fast approaching and the senior trials are on 16th December.

SENIORS-For senior players to trial they need to register on-line this year. Please would you tell all your players at county and club level, about this.

An interested senior player needs to go to www.rfu.com, click on women’s rugby and then click on the regional programme button.

This is the only way this year to register for trials. Closing date for seniors to register is 7th December

Seniors wishing to trial should be registered with a club which is affiliated to the RFUW or be attending a University.

( I am sorry but I have no contact details for Chichester University , so if anyone else has, please would you contact them and copy me in, so that I then have a contact. Thanks.)

Tour Money

Good morning all!

Ok this as you may have guessed is about deposits for tour, I really need to get at least £40 from those of you that haven't paid anything at all by the end of the month. The reason I need it is because I need to book the train tickets on the 7th of December and if I don't have your money I will not be able to book you a ticket and will have to assume that you no longer wish to go on tour with us. I asked if you could pay me £20 a month and so far only 10 people have paid anything at all and by the end of this month will have paid me £60 and be up to date.

Newbie's I'm not including you in this cos you only just found out about it but I will need a deposit from you asap!

I know that club subs are also due by xmas so if you think you can't afford to go on tour then please tell me so I can take you off the list. Those of you that do go Mickey has asked me to find out who wants a ticket to the game, we have 14 so its a first come first served basis, tickets are an extra £50.

Please don't ignore this - I need to know if your going or not, if you are having problems then talk to me and we'll see what we can do.

See most of you on Sunday!

Sam xx

Presidents Lunch - Nov 3rd

Message from Tony Kallend

Dear Member

The annual President's Lunch will be held at the clubhouse on Saturday November 3rd; Clive Putner presiding. The bar will open at 12.00 noon for lunch at 1.00 p.m. The cost will be £25.00 including wines and Port.

If you wish to attend please SEND YOUR CHEQUE FOR £25.00 to:

Ken Ellis, 12 The Glade, West Wickham, Kent, BR4 9LH Tel: 020-8777-3309

Following lunch, the first XV will be playing a league match against Whitstable. The match is again being sponsored by Beccehamian “Alikadoos”. A fixed donation each of £20.00 would entitle you to participate in a draw for a case of Gratien & Meyer Sparkling Saumur (brut), a favourite wine of members of the Wine Society and one which many connoisseurs prefer to Champagne. Contact me to participate.

Looking forward to seeing you at the clubhouse on November 3rd .
Yours sincerely
Tony Kallend

England vs France

The game is being shown at the club on Saturday, and Angela is knocking up a chilli for anyone interested.
Therefore, if there are enough people heading down we can don some Mexican clothes to really get into the spirit of it!!!

Kick off is 8pm but the men are playing that day so the bar will be open all day.

Anyone interested????

Caz

Halloween Decision!

Hi All,

Need some feedback please on availability for the weekend of the 27/28th Oct. We are meant to be playing Beckenham on Sunday 28th and we were arranging a Hallowean Party for after the match. Beckenham have suggested changing the game to the saturday so we can have a big party and piss up on the Saturday night, with people not having to worry about going to work on the Monday.

Before this is even thought about we need to know if you are available to play if the match is changed from the Sunday 28th to the Saturday 27th of October??
Either way you also need to be preparing you Hallowean party outfit too..

As this is kinda a social issue, that is why i am emailing you about it and cos captian always has so much to do, so if you could reply to me with your availability asap, that would be fab, thankyou

Tour 2008

Hello all! Tour this year will be to Scotland to watch the Six Nations match from Friday March 7th to Sunday March 9th 2008.

I have worked out the the approximate cost for tour will be £110, that covers accommodation travel and shirts. We are holding 20 beds in a hostel and need to pay the non refundable deposit as soon as poss and its first come serve so if I could get your £20 deposits from you asap that would really help.

I was thinking that if it would make it easier for people to pay then you could pay tour off with £20 a month till Jan with a final payment of £10 in Feb... Would everyone be ok with that?
If you want to talk to me about it then email me or call me.

Thanks, Sam

Well done after Old E's Game..

Well done to all who played yesterday with a huge amount of determination and passion. It was a great feeling on and off the pitch and a fantastic start now we're all try hungry!!!!

Everyone had such a great game and I couldn't have asked for more from any of you so WELL DONE! I'm very proud of you all!! You certainly lived up to the 'Go hard or go home' motto!!! The aches and pains today are well worth it.

Back to business, can you let me know asap your availability for next Sunday please and whether you are able to drive some of your team mates down with you.

Beccs Christmas Meal & Party

Hello All,

After our chat on Tuesday, we have confirmed that the date of our Christmas Meal/Party will be Saturday 22nd December. Please put in your Diaries. More info to follow, e.g times etc. Food wise we are going to have Curry as that was more popular.

I would appreciate it if you could let me know asap if you can come as I do need to inform the club of a rough number attending. Once i know how many are coming i will let you know the cost. It shouldnt be too much, hence why we are having it at the club and not in a restaurant.

After the meal, we can then continue the night with music, games, fun and frolics.

Any queries, please feel free to email or call me.

Hope to see you all there!

Training!

Great turn out at training last night ladies, if we can keep the numbers up like this then it should be a great season ahead of us.

And while we're on a positive note, the club have offered to pay for a coach to come and take some sessions for us throughout the season.

We really want to use this to our advantage and brush up on our skills for on the pitch, therefore it's vital that we work on our fitness and basic skills now so that we can take advantage of him throughout the season. There's not much point in hiring a coach just to make us fit, any of us could run a session to do that!

Mickey and I will get together and plan a few sessions to talk about the basics of the game, who should be where, what would be the best plan of action in which area of the pitch etc. Its also key that you attend these sessions as they're for your benefit.

Are there any rules/moves/etc that you want to specifically go over in this time? Ask any questions especially now, even if they seem ridiculous because chances are if you're thinking it then someone else probably is too!!!!!

Can you all let me know what you think so we can plan ahead.

PS well done Lizzie for survivng your first training session with us, see you on Thursday.
